Play Therapy
Many children need support to enable them to reach their potential. It can be difficult for children to communicate problems to those around them with words. Using therapeutic play with a skilled practitioner allows children to express their feelings, modify their behaviour, develop problem solving skills and learn a variety of ways to relate to others.
Sometimes children re-enact or play out traumatic or difficult life experiences in order to make sense of their past and cope better with their future.
Our counsellors use non-directive play which is based on the belief that the child has the internal drive to achieve wellness.
