This workshop focuses on what is learned in childhood about how to relate to others. The significance of early attachment with reference to personality development is explored.
The workshop explores what happens in adult relationships when there are deficits and unfulfilled needs from childhood which interfere with the individual’s ability to form healthy emotional attachments.
How do we rebuild faulty foundations? How do we develop a sense of stability and security necessary to take risks, to branch out, to grow and flourish individually and to create and maintain healthy interdependent relationships?
Learning objective:
Explorer childhood experiences with reference to understanding the development of patterns of relating
Identify deficits, unfulfilled needs and the impact on adult searches in relationships
Consider how faulty foundations can be rebuilt through filling gaps in feelings and abilities and discover the potential to develop intrapersonal and interpersonal human flourishing
