Have you experienced those times in a therapeutic process when you seem to find yourself in the middle of a dark wood trying to make your way out, when there are many paths and possibilities to follow? Therapy involves experiencing risk and uncertainty for the client and the counsellor.
This workshop will examine how we, as therapists, remain competent in the face of risk and uncertainty and how we construct a relationship of sufficient resilience and quality to support therapeutic movement.
Learning outcomes:
❖ Define trust and the therapeutic process
❖ Explore risk and uncertainty from a client and counsellor perspective
❖ Examine counsellor competence in the face of risk and uncertainty
